LMT Percussion Ensemble perform at the Royal Albert Hall
On Tuesday 15th November the Love Music Trust Percussion ensemble were invited to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the Music for Youth Primary Proms. Having taken part in a regional heat in Northampton and then at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham as part of the Music for Youth National Festival, this was an opportunity for the ensemble to perform on one of the worlds greatest stages. As part of the concert the young musicians performed two pieces. The first a beautifully reflective piece of music by Blake Tyson called 'Not Far From Here'. The piece was requested by the organisers having heard it during the ensembles performance in Birmingham. This was followed by the main work for the concert titled 'Sahara'.
