On Sunday 12th January we will be hosting our annual percussion day at Sandbach School. The day will start at 10am with registration from 9:45am. Following the day of masterclasses there will be a short concert from 5pm to showcase the ideas worked on throughout the day. The day compromises of 4 workshops including; Mallet Percussion, Snare Drum, Creative Composition and Indian Tabla. After the success of last year we will also be offering a full roast carvery at lunch time, this will be available at an additional cost of £6.50 for adults and £4.00 for children payable on the day. Below is a timetable for the day.
10am Session 1 - Hands on Mallet Session led by Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Percussion Students
11:30am Session 2 - Snare Drum Masterclass led by Dave Hext, principal percussion for the Halle Ochestra
12:45pm Lunch - Full Carvery available
1:45pm Session 3 - Creative Composition Workshop led by Laura Bowler, professional composer and professor at the RNCM
3:15pm Session 4 - Indian Tabla led by Inder Goldfinger, Tabla and percussion for Ian Brown
5:00pm Concert, featuring artists and students from throughout the day.
5:30pm Percussion day finishes.
The cost for the day is £10, payable via Go Cardless, cheque or cash on the day.
