We are delighted to be hosting Macclesfield Music Festival again this year on Thursday 6th July at Macclesfield Academy and Tuesday 11th July at Fallibroome Academy.
This project is suitable for Key Stage 2. Schools in Macclesfield will be able to come together to share in massed performances of two medleys and enjoy performances by school ensembles and soloists. It will be a true celebration of the power of music to raise spirits.
The concerts will take in the evening on the days listed above with a rehearsal for this concert taking place in the afternoon starting at 1:30pm.
There is the option on the sign up form to choose between taking part at either Macclesfield Academy or Fallibroome Academy.
The cost to each school is £2 per participating student and for this each school will receive:
- 2 medleys (Rock and Soul) and warm up activities
an electronic resource pack including all backing tracks and performance tracks
- 1 x 2hr live rehearsal at the concert venue
- Opportunity to take part in 1 of 2 live performances
We will also be hosting a virtual rehearsal via Zoom on Thursday 8th June at 9:30am - 11:45am (with a break in the middle).
