Come and Play with the Hallé 2022

This event is open to all academies and maintained schools in Cheshire East. Primary schools often bring pupils engaged in the whole class instrumental tuition programme and secondary schools sometimes bring their school band or orchestra. Whoever you want to bring, Come and Play with the Hallé is an inclusive event for instrumentalists and singers. Pupils will enjoy a 65-minute programme of music including two songs and two instrumental pieces where they will perform alongside the orchestra.

When you submit your information on the booking form, you will need to tell us the following:
  • The name and email address of the person in charge of your booking
  • The number of people in your booking broken down by pupil vs adult, including which instruments they will be playing. The instrument headings used (please use a 'best fit'  if you have anything different to those listed) are:

Double Bass

Tenor Horn
French Horn
Euphonium / Baritone

Handheld Percussion
Large drum (e.g. Djembe / Dhol / Taiko)

  • You will also need to note any non-instrumentalists (i.e. singers, accompanying staff) as well as any wheelchair users and, if so, which instrument they play.

Tickets for pupils and staff are priced at £6.50 each, a price we have held tickets at since 2015. We have previously been able to offer free staff tickets at a ratio of 1 for every 10 pupil tickets. Regrettably, due to rising external costs we will no longer be able to offer this; all seats - pupil or staff - for the 2020 event will be charged at £6.50 each.
