Join Rex when he has a surprise visitor who arrives at teatime one day; you’ll never guess who it is! This year, Rex will be finding out about how to get along with others, taking turns and helping. Songs will feature all of the above plus themes of celebration, sharing, politeness and co-operation.
Rex and The King Who Came to Tea is a six week project for EYFS children where children have the opportunity to develop their musicianship skills through a range of singing and instrumental activities. Compositional and improvisational activities will also be included.
The project includes 6 x 45 minute sessions, a zoom CPD session, online resources and a six week follow-on unit of work and will take place in the summer term. There will also be the opportunity to perform outdoors at Rex's picnic in June 2027. The picnics will take place in three parks across the area; one in Cheshire East, one in Cheshire West and one on the Wirral in order to limit travel times for schools. If you choose not to take part in the celebration picnic, the sixth session in school will be a performance within your own setting.
The cost of the project for a class of 30 is £275, any participants over this will be charged at a rate of £9 per child.
