We are delighted to invite you to our annual festive celebration of 'Sing the Christmas Story' 2026, which tells the nativity story through song, music and movement. Participating schools will learn a number of seasonal songs linked by narrations, joining together in a massed performance at local churches and Chester Cathedral. In 2026 performances will take place in Macclesfield, Nantwich, Crewe, Chester, Bebington and Wallasey in early December.
This exciting project includes a zoom rehearsal from 1pm - 2:30pm on Monday 16th November to introduce and start to learn all the songs. Children and teachers will continue to rehearse the songs within school, supported by a comprehensive online resource pack including lyric sheets, performance and backing tracks.
Parental tickets will be available on a first come first served basis on Monday 9th November.
The cost of the project is £5 per child participating.
The dates for the concerts are as follows and each performance lasts for 45 minutes:
2nd December - St Mary's RC Church, Crewe - 10:30am
3rd December - St Michael's and all Angels Church, Macclesfield - 10:30am
7th December - St Mary's Church, Nantwich - 11am and 1pm
8th December - Chester Cathedral - 1.45pm
9th December - St Andrew's Church, Bebington - 2.00pm
10th December - Saint Nicholas Church, Wallasey - 10.30am
