School Gateway: Grant Support (First Access, Progression and Curriculum), Data Return, SLA Terms

Grant funding for whole class music tuition and follow-on tuition (progression) is available for all state maintained primary schools in Cheshire and Wirral, whilst grant funding to support new musical activity is available for all state maintained secondary and special schools in Cheshire and Wirral.

Additionally, and new for 2026-27, the LMT is making Curriculum Grant funding available to support all state maintained Primary and Special School since Cheshire and Wirral. More information about the grants is available via the red ‘Music Grants Applications’ link below. Then on the following page, click on the ‘Full Learning Package Grant’ link on the left hand side.

Schools accepting music hub grant funding are the commissioner of services and are free to choose who they wish to deliver those programmes into their school.

As Hub Lead Organisation, the Love Music Trust (LMT) is able to provide tutors to deliver these programmes using instruments of your choice should you wish.

If you would like the LMT to provide this service for your school, when completing the 'Music Grant Application' form (on the left below) please indicate your choice by clicking on 'Love Music Trust' in the 'Delivered by' drop down option on page 4 of the application form.

Schools outside Cheshire and Wirral footprint are able to engage the LMT to provide tuition, costs and provision information can be found by clicking here
