Welcome to the brand new Love Music Trust Singing Resources Booklet for Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, this year entitled ‘This Is Me’! Our exciting brand new songs are composed around the theme of celebration of ourselves and inclusion. The songs are full of fun, memorable melodies, exciting lyrics with opportunities for simple part singing. In addition to the newly composed songs, the booklet contains cross-curricular activities linked to the theme of inclusion.
Singing is key to developing musicianship as required by the National Plan for Music Education which states that ‘children should have access to singing lessons, be encouraged to join school choirs and vocal groups, and have opportunities to perform individually or in small groups’.
