Percussion Ensemble on Tour
The Love Music Trust Percussion Ensemble went on tour in June to Holland to participate in the World Music Competition. They had a rocky start to the trip but once they finally arrived in Holland they had a great trip which included a visit to a theme park a visit to the Adams Percussion Factory, where they make more than Percussion instruments. They also had a stop in Bruges on they way home where they went on a boat trip and ate waffles and crepes.
On the 14th July they performing three new pieces, two created by members of the Ensemble Matthew Brett & Catherine Flanders and the final piece was commissioned and written by Stephen Whiblbley. The group preformed in the First Division in the competition at Parkstad Limburg Theatre. The results came in on the 30th of June and have The LMT Percussion Ensemble came in third place!! Huge Congratulations to all involved.
