Snowman Open Auditions
I know it's only September but here at the Love music Trust we are already looking forward to Christmas. For each of these performances there is a wonderful opportunity for one young vocalist to sing the classic hit song from the Snowman, Walking in the Air backed by the live Orchestra.
On Monday 18th December 'The Snowman' with live orchestra will be coming to the Victoria Hall!
There are three performances taking place throughout the day. The two schools performances are at 11.30am and 1.30pm with an additional evening show for the general public at 7pm. Additionally the three lucky vocalists will get to open the concert at Victoria Hall, Hanely with a rendition of of Once in Royal David's City again accompanied by the orchestra.
Open auditions
To make sure that everyone has a fair chance to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity we are holding an open audition on Saturday 4th November in the Theatre Space at Sandbach School.
In the audition, vocalists will be asked to sing a song of their own choice in the first (AM) round (for which we will provide a piano accompanist as required).
For the 10 lucky finalists selected by a panel of experts, they will progress to the final round (PM) during which they will be asked to perform Once in Royal David's City and Walking in the Air.
The orchestral accompaniments and music for Once in Royal David's City and Walking in the Air (which will be used in the final of the audition) will be available when students register to audition.
Audition places are limited to 24 and as such will be issued on a first come first served basis.
