Learning Objectives
Learning Outcomes
All pupils will be able to select sounds to use and follow a score.
Most pupils will be able to organise the sounds they want to use and use symbols to represent the sounds.
Some pupils will have progressed further and will be able to organise and combine sounds they are using and make suggestions as to how they should be played to create a particular effect.
Sequence of Lesson Activities
Recap work from Lesson 5. Give the children time to rehearse their piece and make any alterations they want.
Each group takes it in turn to perform their composition to the rest of the class.
Give feedback to each group and encourage pupils to do the same using a simple feedback mechanism such as three stars and a wish.
Extension Activities
Perform a Gruffalo composition to another class or perhaps during another occasion such as a school assembly when other can appreciate the work done by a group of pupils.
